School History

Shining Christian Movers Academy began in 1997 when its founders Mrs. Soledad Cruz-Mendoza and her husband Mr. Nestor E. Mendoza decided to put up an Educational Institution in their community. They were Sunday school teachers in their single years teaching children and street children alike about the things of God. Their heart of obedience led them to a greater calling of building a school to educate and minister to children and their families.

Starting as a Pre-school known as Shining Christian Movers Kiddie Center, she had the objective of maximizing a child’s physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual development according to their own pace and maturation level. We believe every child is unique, therefore, learning should be developmentally appropriate for each child. Now an Elementary School, our facilities have expanded from a stockroom inside a private house into converting the family house into an establishment directly and exclusively used for education purposes. Hence, its name Shining Christian Movers Academy stands with pride as they develop children into self-governing stewards of God’s creation.
